An annual well woman exam is a preventive healthcare evaluation of all aspects of a woman’s reproductive health, all in the comfort of home.
What is a well woman exam?
Your well-woman exam is all about you, your body, and your reproductive health.
The well-woman exam is an annual preventative health care examination which includes a complete physical exam along with a pelvic exam, breast exam, pap test, and screen for diseases. The exam covers lifestyle behaviors, reproductive goals, and any concerns you may have about your sexual health.
We recommend that women have their first well-woman exam as a preventative service at age 21 or three years after beginning intercourse, whichever comes first.
An exam in the comfort of your home ensures complete privacy and allows for a more relaxing appointment.
A Well Woman Exam may also include, depending on age/circumstance:
- Routine lab tests including screening for urinary health
- Pelvic ultrasound
- Contraception counseling
- Fertility counseling and testing
- STD counseling and testing
- Referrals for mammogram, colonoscopy, and bone density
